The sad news is that I've received a bill from my insurance company today, which requests me to pay off the 500-dollar ultrasound bills. I thought my insurance would cover this cost completely and apparently I was totally wrong. A crappy student insurance coverage can't be stretched THAT far. One of my friends told me that I can negotiate with the hospital with a payment plan and I think I'm gonna give it a shot. And this incident also compels me to look for job again. Thus, I've filled out another two job applications this afternoon. I hope someone out there would give me a chance for interview regardless of the fact that I am going to be out of town for 3 weeks in June! This entire fiscal situation turns me off so much that I'm not as excited about the trip to Taiwan as before. Sorry to everyone who reads my blog for not spreading more good tidings!
So, I can only hold onto the hope that more good things will come, eventually.

The medical insurance in the US is just so horrible. Sometimes I just feel that I moved to an undeveloped country. So disappointed!!!!
Your case let me decide to go back to Taiwan in near future to solve the infertility problem. I have checked the inurance here, and none of them cover the infertility expense. I think I can get better treatment in Taiwan.
By the way, I recommend you to get all your body check up while you are Taiwan, including eyes and dental problem.
Also, US has swine flu problem right now. You and your husband may need to put on the mask on the way back to Taiwan, including in the airport, and use hand sanitizer more frequently. You don't want to be quarantined in Taiwan. It seems like the Taiwan government is working its butt off to stop the swine flu.
One more thing, how was your "roomate" going? Did she still live with you?
Hi Jenny! Thanks for your advice and I will try to remember all of these precautionary procedures on my way to Taiwan! I actually like what Taiwanese government is doing so that I would less likely catch the germ while in Taiwan. So are you sure you need to go through infertility treatments? Did you get yourself checked? You don't need to tell me HERE since it's kind of personal. I'm just worried about you...
I think in your case you would get better and cheaper medical care in Taiwan. My father-in-law used to teach at school so he's gotten a great insurance to cover all of his medical expenses due to his open-heart surgery. I would dream about that kind of insurance for me. Well, I really don't know if we will settle in the States or not but it seems like it now. You guys have something new planed?

It turned out that my "roommate" never comes. She found an apartment and according to what she told me last time, she was going to a job interview. I haven't heard from her ever since:)
p.s. I appreciate Taiwanese government's effort to exhort travelers to put on masks. However, I've learned from CNN that masking isn't the most efficient way to block the germs. The best way is to use sanitizer often and to avoid touching your outward respiratory organs. That's what I'm trying to do since I go to public library so often.
Yeah~ Working in a big organization full time is the only solution to a better insurance plan.

We just can't figure out why it takes us so long to get pregnant.
We worried that my appendix surgry may do something with it, which was also warned by an OBGYM doctor when I had my woman yearly check up while I still had student insurance.
I agree...it sucks big time! Well, I will pray for you guys and I hope you will have chance to go back to Taiwan soon and get yourself checked.
